Privacy Policy

The short version

If you only read the site, we learn nothing that identifies you. If you write to us, we receive what you typed. No other data is collected, because this website has no booking engine, payment page or account.

Two entries in your browser

• 07_alice_springs_age_ok: written once you answer the age question, so it is asked once per device.
• 07_alice_springs_consent: written when you answer the cookie bar, so the answer holds.

Both are local storage. They never leave your browser, they hold no identifier, and clearing your browsing data removes them. If your browser blocks storage the site still works and asks on each visit.

Server logs

The host records the request, the time, the page and the browser string. This is ordinary hosting: entries are kept for thirty days and then overwritten.

The contact form

Name, email, telephone if given, dates if given, and the message. It arrives at the front desk as email and is filed with the booking correspondence for two years, then deleted.

Analytics and advertising

No tag is on the site today. If one is added it will be Google Analytics 4 and a Google Ads tag, loading only for readers who accepted. Consent Mode v2 sets all four signals to denied in the head of every page before any other script runs.

Why we may hold any of it

• Your consent, for analytics and advertising, given at the bar and withdrawable from the footer.
• Acting on your request, for the contact form.
• Our legitimate interest, for server logs, in a site that stays up.

Who else sees it

The hosting company, the email provider, and Google for the tags above once consented to. Nothing is sold and no guest list is given to anyone for marketing.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask what we hold, ask for a correction, and complain about how we have handled it. Write to the address above or to [email protected]. We answer within thirty days and make no charge. If our answer does not satisfy you, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints.

Children

This is not a site for children, and the low block admits adults of 18 and over only. Nothing knowingly collected from a child is kept, and if you think a child has used the form, tell the desk and it is deleted.

Changes

The date on this page moves when the text does, and anything material is flagged on the front page for a month.
